高精密铸造相对于传统铸造加工工艺来讲的一种铸造方法。它可以获得相对性清晰地形状相对较高的铸造精密度。较广泛做法就是：首先作出需要毛胚(能留容量特别小或是没留容量)的电级，随后用电级浸蚀模实际，产生内腔。再换铸造的方法铸蜡，得到最原始的蜡模。在蜡模上一层层刷过耐热的液态砂料。待得到充足厚度以后晾晒，再升温，使的内部蜡模融化掉，得到与所需毛胚一致的凹模。再去凹模里浇注钢水，干固后将机壳剥去，就可以获得精密机械制造的制成品。
失蜡法铸造现称砂模铸造高精密铸造，是一种少钻削或没有钻削的铸造加工工艺，是蜡型精密铸造行业内的一项出色的生产工艺，其运用十分广泛。它不但主要适用于种类、各种各样铝合金的铸造，并且生产制造出铸件加工精度、表层质量比其他铸造方法高些，乃至其他铸造方法难以铸得的繁杂、耐热、不便于加工制作铸件，都可选用砂模铸造高精密铸造铸得。
