砂轮切割一般采用3mm的树脂砂轮，用3000r/min以上的电动机带动砂轮片，把水玻璃精密铸造件从浇口棒上切割下来。用砂轮切割的断面平整，适用于各种铸件材质，尤其适用于硬度很高的高合金钢铸件。但由于一次只能切割一个铸件，因而有一定的使用局限性。同时，树脂砂轮的消耗大、成本高。
液压切割是在液压机工作台上进行的。液压机工作台上安装有带刀座的环形刀片，将待切割铸件组置于环形刀刃口上，在液压高压下由下而上使铸件内浇口依次受剪切力，将失蜡精密铸造件从浇注系统上切割下来。
压力切割是在压力机上进行的。压力机滑块和工作台面上分别安装上、下座模，座模上安装对称刀片两块，开动压力机，上模座随同滑块下行，当上下刀片接触到内浇口时，内浇口受上下对剪作用而被剪断。
