硅溶胶工艺不锈钢铸件归属于称熔模精密铸件或精密铸造，是一种少钻削或没有钻削的锻造工艺，是钢铁行业中的一项出色的生产工艺。
不锈钢精密铸造加工件不但主要适用于种类、各种各样铝合金的锻造，并且生产制造出铸件规格精度、表面品质比其他铸造方法高些，乃至其他铸造方法难以铸得的繁杂、耐热、不便于加工制作铸件，都可选用高精密铸造件铸得。
所说熔模铸造加工工艺，简单来说就是用易熔原材料（比如蜡料或塑胶）做成可熔性实体模型（通称熔模或实体模型），在其上涂敷若干层特制耐火涂料，通过干躁和硬底化形成一个总体型壳后，再换蒸气或温水从型壳中熔掉实体模型，并把型壳放置沙盒中，则在四周充填干砂造型设计，然后将金属型铸放进煅烧炉中通过高温焙烧（如选用高韧性型壳时，可不必造型设计而把出模后型壳立即培烧），金属型铸或型壳经培烧后，于在其中浇筑熔融金属而获得铸件。
