①熔模精密铸造工艺进到工业生产体量的生产队伍仅只几十年的历史时间。因而，工艺基础知识较欠缺，生产检测方式还不很健全，尚需进一步科学研究处理。
②从生产的工艺步骤看来，工艺繁杂，工艺流程多种多样，并且在繁琐的工艺流程中，任何一点粗心大意都能给锻造品质产生不良不良影响，也能给铸件品质的解读带来一定的艰难。
③因为熔模精密铸造工艺特殊性，受熔模和型壳抗压强度及制壳全过程等方面的原因危害，熔模精铸件重量在一般生产环境下遭受一定限制。
20个世纪80时代英国CTI（CastingTechnologyInternational）科学研究推出消失模精密铸钢技术性（ReplicastCS法，R法），是失蜡铸造科技的关键发展趋势。R法能够简略叙述为：密度高的EPS模具制作，磷酸二氢铝制壳，冷壳真空浇注。使用这种方式生产的不锈钢铸件能够完全清除增碳缺点，此方法适用一切钢材牌号（特别是高碳钢、铁素体不锈钢），能够生产比精密铸造大很多的铸件，其加工精度和外表粗糙度可达到与熔模铸造小物件相当水准。
