硅溶胶有机化学主要参数主要包括：SiO2含量、相对密度、Na2O成分、PH值、黏度、胶体粒子孔径等，这种有机化学主要参数关键决定着型壳抗压强度、涂料的可靠性及涂料的粉液比。因为一般精密铸造水玻璃公司难以对这种有机化学主要参数进行检验，因此，一方面要加强供方的选择、评价和确定，另一方面，整体面层和背层应选择应用不一样型号的硅溶胶，如整体面层选择S-830硅溶胶，背层选择S-1430硅溶胶。
精密铸造厂一般选择锆英粉做为整体面层建筑涂料。当锆英粉带有金属氧化物残渣时，溶解温度就会下降，进行析出不定形SiO2，与金属中某种原素产生化学变化，使铸造件表层造成"黑点"等缺点，恶变铸造件表层质量。并且，锆英粉的粒径及遍布对建筑涂料粉液比也是有着直接关系。因而，对供方的选择应严格把控。
