1. Because the back layer preserves the sodium silicate binder, and its overall continuous high temperature strength and creep resistance level are lower than that of silica sol shell, the casting processing accuracy and dimensional tolerance of pouring are also lower than that of silica sol shell;

2. Because the composite mold shell uses the whole surface layer made of zircon powder with relatively high price, and its mold shell cost is 4.5 times that of sodium silicate, if the silica sol precision casting parts manufacturer selects zirconium corundum sand powder for the back layer, then its mold shell cost is the same as the mold shell cost of silica sol, and its advantages of low cost are not obvious;
