精密铸造（precisioncasting），属特殊铸造。用这种方法所获得的零件一般不需然后再进行机械加工。在其中比较常见的是熔模铸造，又称失蜡铸造：采用合适的熔模原材料（如石腊）生产制造熔模；在熔模水玻璃铸造的熔模上反复沾耐火涂料与撒防火砂工艺流程，硬底化型壳及干躁；然后将的内部熔模融化掉，得到凹模；培烧型壳以获得充足的抗压强度，及烧毁残留的熔模原材料，；浇筑所需的金属复合材料；凝结制冷，蜕壳后清砂，从而得到高精密的制成品。依据商品必须或者进行热处理工艺与冷拉和表层处理。
高精度：砂型水玻璃铸造件尺寸高精度，外表粗糙度值细，铸件的尺寸精密度可以达到4-6级，外表粗糙度可以达到0.4-3.2um可大大减少铸件的加工的剩余量，并可以实现无余量生产制造，降低成本。
